Bayer 04 Leverkusen uses returnable cups
From now on, Bayer 04 Leverkusen will offer beer and non-alcoholic cold drinks exclusively in returnable cups at the BayArena refreshment stands.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen will offer beer and non-alcoholic cold drinks exclusively in returnable cups at the BayArena refreshment stands with immediate effect. Disposable cups will no longer be available. Criteria such as environmental balance and safety standards were decisive for the decision. The new polypropylene version can be cleaned up to 150 times.
"We see it as our responsibility to continue to bring sustainability and environmental awareness into the focus of our association. The change from disposable to reusable cups is only one measure on this path, but an important one," explains Fernando Carro, CEO.
To simplify the return of the cups, they can be returned at any kiosk in the area surrounding the BayArena. The cup deposit will be charged back to the EC or credit card. Bayer 04, together with the fan support team, has decided that collection bins for a donation of the cups will be set up in the BayArena. In this way, visitors can directly support the work of the "Kreativ Schwarz-Rot e.V." association by donating their cups.
